This piece was originally created as a one-of-one parody relic art card featuring a real piece of black leather embedded into the card as a glove-style relic patch. The leather was used purely as an artistic prop and visual element and is not from O.J. Simpson, not from the trial, and not connected to any real event.

The original 1/1 was designed to mimic classic vintage relic cards while delivering sharp, dark humor tied to one of the most infamous courtroom moments in American history. From the “Player-Worn Gloves” headline to the relic patch window, every element was intentionally styled to look like a legitimate sports relic card — then immediately flipped on its head through satire.

The back of the card was written in full parody tone, further leaning into the absurdity of the concept and solidifying it as a standalone art piece rather than a traditional collectible.
